August 2011 - RKMS move into new premises
In August we moved into new offices at the Solaris Centre on Blackpool promenade the centre is a first class environmental exhibition with solar PV panels, wind turbines solar water heating and a host of other environmentally friendly technologies. the centre boasts excellent conference and training facilities that allows us to accomodate up to 75 delegates at seminars and up to 50 delegates for training courses. April 2011 - RKMS wins substantial contract with Scottish Enterprise RKMS submitted a joint tender to Scottish Enterprise as part of the True GRC Group to deliver Business Improvement consultancy and support and were confirmed as successful in early April, this further strenghens this companies image as a provider of quality products and services to the business community. Customer News - March 2011 Acumen Distribution is to expand its waste transfer business after achieving ISO9001 and ISO14001! Acumen Distribution has achieved ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditation, at the first attempt for its waste transfer station in Stoke-on-Trent. This was undertaken with support from RKMS, with an initial review being carried out assessing current practice against accrediation requirements. Relevant legislative and regulatory requirements were identified and compliance assessed. Operational procedures were then amended to incorporate the necessary controls for accreditation. "We have now decided to roll out the management system across all our operational sites", says John Stocker, Commercial Director, Acumen Distribution. "We have retained the services of RKMS who have helped us implement and maintain our management systems."
Warrington Borough Transport regain certification to OHSAS18001 Warrington Borough Transport are once again certified to OHSAS18001, the company became the first bus operator in the UK to acheive certification to the standard in 2008 and after a period where certification had lapsed are once again certified to the standard under the leadership of David Squire Managing Director.

December 2010 RKMS launch two new services H&S Solutions and Personnel Solutions. Following a growing demand from clients we are pleased to announce we can now offer HR support. We have teamed up with Personnel Solutions to provide outsourced HR services based on a monthly retainer, this service can be added to our newly launched H&S Solution to provide clients with all their HR and H&S needs. Attending companies will receive advice and guidance on how to cut costs and reduce their environmental impact. Other speakers include Marks & Spencers - Plan B, Simplifi and Impact Energy. The event will include guidance and case studies showing some of the savings our clients have acheived over the past few years. November 2010 John Keen takes part in UKAS accreditation audit for SIRA Certification - no improvement requests raised and it is anticipated as a result SIRA Certification will gain full UKAS accreditation to OHSAS18001 within the construction industry. March 2010 IOSH Managing Safely added to our protfolio of accredited training this 4 day course can be run on a flexible basis at client sites and over a period of time that suits the host organisation allowing the client to enhance the H&S skills of their management team with minimal distruption to operations. March 2010 RKMS wins tender to provide resource efficiency via the ENWORKS programme a free service to North West Business which is designed to provide a resource efficiency audit and recommendations to save money, reduce waste and improve environemntal performance. This is an £11M scheme funded through the NWDA. February 2010 RKMS exhibits at the ENCO2010 event at Ribby Hall the regions largest environmental conference. December 2009 RKMS teams up with the North West Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to deliver a number of workshops and breakfast seminars as part of the Fylde Year of the Environment 2010. October 2009 RKMS becomes an approved City & Guilds Centre and are able to offer up to level 4 NVQ's in Business Improvement Techniques (2257) through our Accellerate Programme of Lean Management Thinking.
June 2009 RKMS is succcessful in attaining certification to ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 added to our existing ISO9001 & Investors in People certification this demonstrates our continued committment to providing consultancy and training services the fields of consultancy and training. April 2009 RKMS teams up with Constructionskills and the federation of Master Builders to deliver seminars and grant assisted consultancy to the construction industry. A series of seminars are held in the North West including the DW stadium in Wigan. March 2009 RKMS is successful in tender submission to become a MAS deliverer in the East Midlands region the Manufacturing Advisory Service provides grant assistance to manufacturing organisations in business improvement, RKMS can secure up to 50% funding for projects in the region.
